Refund Policy

Permanent username fee

The $1.00 payment (plus a $0.39 processing fee, $1.39 total) purchases the immediate allocation of a unique, permanent NX Chess username. Because that digital service is normally completed when the username is assigned, the fee is generally non-refundable after successful allocation, except where this policy or applicable law requires otherwise.

Re-entry fees

A re-entry fee paid after a permanent ban ($1.00, $5.00, $20.00, $50.00, or $100.00, each plus the stated processing fee) purchases the immediate restoration of matchmaking access. Because that service is completed when access is restored, re-entry fees are generally non-refundable, including if the account is later banned again. The exceptions below apply equally to re-entry fees.

When a refund may be available

• You were charged more than once for the same username claim.
• Payment completed but NX Chess did not allocate the username.
• A verified technical error caused an incorrect charge.
• The payment was unauthorized, subject to identity and payment verification.
• A refund is otherwise required by applicable consumer law.

What is not normally refundable

• Changing your mind after a username has been allocated.
• Wanting to change, transfer, sell, release, or replace a permanent username.
• Losing matchmaking access because of a strike, temporary ban, permanent ban, cheating, abuse, ban evasion, or another policy violation.
• Internet interruptions, a lost game, rating changes, or temporary service unavailability.

How to request a refund

Submit a Support request under “Payment or refund” or email support@norage-quitting-chess.com. Include the email used at checkout, your NX Chess username if one was assigned, the approximate payment date, and the reason for the request. Do not send a full card number or security code. Requests should be made promptly, preferably within 30 days of the charge, although mandatory legal rights and reports of unauthorized charges are not shortened by this guideline.

Processing

Approved refunds are sent through Stripe to the original payment method when possible. Stripe and your financial institution control when the credit appears. Currency conversion, bank fees, and processing times are outside NX Chess’s control. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. This policy does not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Payment disputes

Please contact Support first so we can investigate duplicate, unauthorized, or failed allocations. This does not prevent you from exercising any dispute rights provided by your card issuer or applicable law. Knowingly filing a false dispute may result in account restrictions.
